JAYNE WITH A WHY

My life has endured some drastic changes over the past 5yrs. I've moved continents, moved countries, lost my partner in life, lost my dogs, lost the bikes & no doubt about it, lost more than a few marbles along the way. I'm fucked up but valiantly fighting off sanity, which snaps at my heels at regular intervals. I swear a lot. Tell someone who cares.

HOME FOR A NIGHT

Hello Possums, did ya miss me?

I arrived back in Abu Dhabi - from South Africa - at midday today.

I'm flying out again tomorrow night, to Dublin.

I think my jetlag will be jetlagged.

I had a wonderful time with my folks.

I had my first car accident.

I got a new tattoo.

I hurled a few choice obscenities at the security officer at Oliver Tampon Airport (a.k.a. Johannesburg International).

*yawn*

Explanations, photos & stories will follow when I wake up, which at this rate, will be around the first week in September.

Be good & Do It Quietly.

OF AIRPORTS & THINGS.........

I'm currently sitting in the Business Lounge at Dubai Airport, bored out of my bracket. There is a child/brat/monster downstairs that is screaming constantly & it's taking all of my reserve not to lean over the balcony & tell the little head wobbling git to shut the f*ck up. If sed brat/monster is on my flight, there WILL be words exchanged. They will not be polite words either.

I'm sweating.

I have the flu.

I never knew the human body could produce so much snot.

No one has a portable iron lung............so I guess I'll just have to suffer.........coff coff (she says, lighting up another Gauloises Blonde)

Airports are either interesting, or boring. To my mind they're just plain boring. I've done heaps of flying & the novelty wore off many, many moons ago. The drive through from Abu Dhabi to Dubai was interesting, as I haven't been on that particular road for many months & the ever incresing skyline of high-rise towers progresses at a frightening pace. I passed the Burj, which despite being the tallest building in the Emirates so far, really does look like just another tower block. The new Metro is taking shape & will no doubt be a bonus to commuters in Dubai. I honestly don't think there is anything appealing about DoBuy nowadays, which is sad, as it used to be a wonderful place. That's just my opinion though. I'm well happy to be living in Abu Dhabi, although at the rate of things, it's also going to be massive!

My journey will finish tomorrow afternoon, when Insh'alla, I shall arrive at my parents new home, where heaps of hugs & cuddles will be the order of the day.
Be good folks, Do It Quietly & have one for me :-)

(at this stage, I am on my way to hurl obscenities to screaming brat on the ground floor)
